Background

I started programming at school: a word clock during an internship, the German national computer science competition, and my own small projects. A voluntary ecological year was followed by computer science studies at the University of Konstanz.

Focus areas

At university I focused on data visualization: music networks, bicycle theft in Berlin, delays in the ICE network. In my own projects I build tools I need myself – a day planner for iOS, ambient lighting for the Mac, a chess analysis app and a link shortener.

Approach

I like working across the whole stack: data model, APIs, interface and operations. An application should be usable without explanation and verifiably do what it promises.

I use AI tools regularly for development, research and review. Responsibility for decisions and results stays with me.

What I’m looking for

An early-career role in software development, ideally involving data or AI – in a team that values careful engineering and usefulness for its users equally.
