VAST Music Analysis
Exploring influence between artists, genres and careers in a large music network.
The question
How can influence and career paths be traced in a large dataset of artists, bands, labels and songs?
Implementation
Several linked views work together: an interactive graph, genre trends, career views and a timeline. Selecting in one view filters the others. Behind it sits a graph database connecting people, groups, labels and releases. The data comes from the VAST Challenge 2025.
My contribution
University team project; the application was built jointly. For this demo I brought it back into operation and reworked the interface.
